A Report of Child Torture in Iraq

I can't even talk about it.

Please read this and this for yourself. Then redouble your efforts to get these monsters out of here.

Those articles are very saddening and horrendous. Our media is sure doing a piss poor job of explaining (to the sheeple) what is happening to human children. I don't care where they are or their race, they are still children. Even the adults shouldn't be abused just because we are warring against them.

As a mom, I can't even begin to wrap my mind around this atrocity. What is it going to take to wake people up?

Although I have a feeling that the frozen tundra that is the American public may be starting to thaw - especially since it's been in the hundreds here in LA...

How do Rummy and the rest of the twisted sisters not expect these poor children to grow up as terrorists? I hate to think what they may do to hide the evidence. This will haunt us for the rest of our lives. The ones who cared before will grieve and pray for these children every day. The ones who voted for Bush and follow Limbaugh's frat-boy pranks theories, I hope their souls rot long before they meet their maker. And I mean the kind of rotting that torments them all the way to their final days and beyond.

What I'd like to know is the reasoning behind the children's detention.

If it is the case they are child soldiers (and let's not kid ourselves, this is not an uncommon practice) then detention is understandable. However torture certainly is not. Not ever.

There is a problem with the children being held if they have no part in the war. And in all honesty many of them may know nothing at all that can help the US. Then again, some may. But under what conditions, then, can one foster the trust of the child to tell what he/she knows? One of rape and torture will not do that. It will only foster hate. And if what these witnesses say is true, some allied heads had better fucking roll over there.

Interesting ... and disturbing ... I do hope more info on what the captured childrens' roles were becomes available ... curious if they were being used as soldiers/bombers or if they were just picked up because maybe they overheard something. Hmmmm ....
