My dad sent me this in my birthday card. It is a cutout from a newspaper that my grandmother put in her 'birthday book' the day I was born. A native of Massachusetts, she passed away last year at the age of 93, having been alive for both times that the Red Sox won the World Series.
All I can say is - doo-doo-doo-doo (cue Twilight Zone music...)
Happy Birthday, Alicia!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! How spooky is that? And cool about your grandmere, seeing the Red Sox steal the World Series from the Cubs like that, twice. ;)
ReplyDeleteOther than the "scheming" part (my schemes tend to crash and burn), that's pretty darn accurate. I just re-started my guitar lessons after a one year hiatus. Kinda spooky...
ReplyDeleteI thought it was kinda spooky, too, QD. And my son said the same thing - "scheming? I dunno about that". Don't we all scheme to some extent? It's funny because the only other job I have had besides music is being a cartoonist and portrait artist at amusement parks - I have a 'flair' for art, and my dad is an artist, but it doesn't 'get' me the way music does...
ReplyDeleteI forgot about that part of it, DJ...
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Alicia! Hope you had a lovely day. Yay, crabs!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, my dear! May your future bring you health and happiness! Cancer's are wonderful people. My best friend is a Cancer - and there never was a more loving woman - as are all born under that sign. So three cheers, sweetie! Hip, hip hooray!
ReplyDeleteHB, Alicia! Mine was the 12th. I am a bit more elderly than you but who's counting?
ReplyDeleteHappy belated B-day fellow Cancers. Mine was 6/29. Have a crab cake.
ReplyDeleteWow - it seems like half of my blog friends are Cancers! I'lll have to do a poll or something, if I can find out how to put one up...
